Did you know…
The Incan empire was larger than the Roman Empire? That it created more than 3,250 miles of roadways? Or that the Incas performed successful skull surgeries? The Incas had a vision for what was possible and made it happen. Are you ready for more of this energy in your life? On this trip to Peru, you’ll focus on building your own empire.
This trip is meant for you if you know you’re capable of more and will use this trip as a catalyst to level up. Expect an experience where you are challenged to climb higher (literally and figuratively) to achieve your next level of success. You’ll have conversations, readings, and workshops that help you get out of your own way and expand on your vision.
Things you’ll love about this trip
– Hiking on the Inca Trail: You’ll have breathtaking views on our one-day hike. (If you prefer not to hike, we still have something awesome for you.)
– Exploring Peru’s Incredible Food Culture: Peru is a foodie’s dream. The World Travel Awards has called it a “lead culinary destination” for the last six years. We’ll enjoy dinner at a beautiful restaurant in Cusco’s main square and try lots of local foods.
– Like-minded Travelers: You’ll be among people who are committed to personal growth and ready to do what it takes to level up in 2020.
– The history: We’ll visit archeological sites and learn about Incan culture from our experienced guides.
If possible, we highly recommend arriving in Peru two days before your PACK Retreat. You can spend the first night in Lima to see the city and rest. Because of the flight schedule, visitors coming from the United States to Cusco must either stay overnight in Lima or spend the night in the airport. The next day, travel to Cusco where you can begin adjusting to the altitude. The city’s altitude is 11,200 feet.
Day 1 / July 19, 2020 / Sacred Valley of the Incas
Transfer from Cusco to a lovely hotel approximately 1-2 hours outside the city. After check in, you’ll have time to relax before your first workshop. In this initial session, you will get to know your fellow travelers and set your intention for the trip. What’s our intention? We want to supercharge you with wonder, self-care, community, and vision so you’re ready to go big when you get home.
The plans for tonight are a group dinner and early bedtime. Over the next few days, we’ll take it easy so you can adjust to the altitude.
Day 2 / July 20, 2020 / Sacred Valley of the Incas
Coaching in the morning is followed by lunch together and plenty of free time to journal, explore the surrounding area on foot, talk with your fellow travelers, relax or read. After dinner, you’ll have another workshop and evening assignments.
Day 3 / July 21, 2020 / Sacred Valley of the Incas
Enjoy more workshops and free time.
Tonight, we will have dinner with our local tour leader who will tell us more about the history of Sacred Valley and the days ahead.
Day 4 / July 22, 2020 / Hiking + Aguas Calientes
Today, you have two options: Take a challenging day hike through the Andes Mountains on the Inca Trail or spend the day exploring the town of Aguas Calientes.
Day 5 / July 23, 2020 / Machu Picchu – Sacred Valley of the Incas
Wake up around 5 a.m. for the ride up to Machu Picchu. We will have a guided tour and free time to explore. Once done, we head back to Aguas Calientes for lunch, before hopping on the train to return to the Sacred Valley.
Day 6 / July 24, 2020 / Sacred Valley of the Incas
Enjoy workshops and a post-Machu Picchu surprise.
Day 7 / July 25, 2020 / Sacred Valley – Cusco
It’s time to head to Cusco, and we’ll sightsee along the way! Enjoy a private guided trip through the city of Ollantaytambo, as well as to Maras Salt Ponds and the circular terraces of Moray. The ancient salt ponds are located near the village of Maras, where salty springs emerge from the hillside. This is where the Incas built terraces to harvest salt.
Day 8 / July 26, 2020 / Cusco
After a morning workshop, it’s time for sightseeing with our local guide! Cusco is a favorite destination of many visitors to Peru. As you wander the streets and side alleys of the city you will witness the perfect tapering Inca stonework that provided the foundations for many of Cusco’s colonial and modern buildings. The city itself is the continent’s oldest continuously inhabited city and was the home of the Inca Empire for two centuries before the Spanish built their first capital here. Today Cusco is a fascinating combination of both cultures.
Day 9 / July 27, 2020 / Cusco
Enjoy a free day in Cusco. In the evening, we gather for one last dinner together and our closing ceremony.
Day 10 / July 28, 2020 / Cusco
Your tour comes to an end today and there are no activities planned. If you are staying longer in Cusco, we are happy to recommend additional activities.
